University of Maryland Administration Building
The University of Maryland was constructing a new five-story administration building, requiring a complete ITS infrastructure.
TECH inc was contracted to design and build:
- One main MDF and five IDFs-each IDF consisted of one 12 strand single-mode and one 12 strand multi-mode;
- Four Category 5e 25 pair cable terminated on patch panels in each IDF;
- 784 work area outlets;
- 72 strand single-mode fiber optic cable from administrative building to the MDF located in the School of Nursing parking garage
- One 100 pair Category 3 OSP from the administrative building to the MDF located in Pearl Street garage;
- One month acceleration.
TECH inc put together an experienced team of technicians to ensure that the project schedule would be met and to work closely with the general contractor to make sure that all needs were met.
The project was completed successfully on time and per schedule. Client was very easy to work with. All work performed with only four technicians.
